Something Blue

I made this cake for my cousin's 5th wedding anniversary. She wanted it to be similar to her wedding cake, but a little different too.

The top tier had blue buttercream flowers arranged on top and double swags around it with a shell border on bottom.

The bottom tier also had the double swags, but some cute detail added below them.

I think it turned out really pretty!

Banjo

This fun cake was for a friend of mine who's father-in-law was celebrating his 75th birthday.

Here's the handle.

And the drum part (I'm sure that's not really what it's called).

Are You Ready For Some Football?!

For the Wiser Family's annual Superbowl party I made a fun helmet cake.

One side for the Colts.

And the other side for the Saints.
There were also football shaped sugar cookies.

I made some really yummy football oreo truffles too.

Purple and Pink!

This is my niece Allie's birthday cake for her 8th birthday. I forgot to take a picture of it with the "8" I made on the top, but that's okay. She wanted purple and pink and polka-dots. The finished product was super cute!

The top tier was pink with a white and purple band around the bottom and pearl beads around it.

The bottom tier had purple and pink polka-dots and a bigger pearl bead bottom around it.

A pretty cute combination if you ask me!

Then I finished it off with the cute balls coming out of the bottom tier on silver wire.

I also made 2 dozen cookie pops for her party guests.

Here are all of the pink ones.

I thought the stripes on this one were really fun.
There were also purple ones.

And white ones.

And really cute polka-dot ones.

Preslee's Cake and Cookies

My niece Preslee just had her 10th birthday and wanted a fun topsy turvy cake and peace sign cookie pops. The "10" sticking out of the top was made of fondant.

The cake was hot pink and lime green with stars coming out of it.

The cookie pops turned out darling too!

Princess Cake

I made this darling princess cake for my twin nieces Issy and Gabi. They added the cute princesses and candles.

The bottom tier had hot pink dots.

And the top tier was hot pink with a princess crown.

I even colored the cake on the inside different shades of pink and it looked darling!

Coke Cake #2

A friend of mine wanted a Coke can cake for her husband's graduation party. Looks like the real thing if you ask me!

Cherry Pie Cake

My Grandma was throwing a "Pie Party" for Thanksgiving where everyone brought a pie to share. I thought it would be fun to bring a cake that looked like a pie.

It was a "Cherry Pie" cake.

Soccer Ball Cake

We just had to celebrate the Real Salt Lake game (and win!) with a soccer ball cake.

The ball turned out really good and actually looked like leather.

The piped grass was a nice touch too.

Mini Cakes

I made some mini cakes for fun the other day after the little one went to sleep. They turned out really cute! I got done at midnight though and I have to say my creativity started to run out the later it got.

This was the first one. I LOVE how it turned out. I think my next multi tier cake will be animal print.

Next was the green polka dot cake.

And last the purple flower cake.

Simply Beautiful

This is the most elegant cake I have done so far. The top tier is good old yellow cake and the bottom is chocolate both with buttercream frosting.

The lovely fondant roses and leaves.

A cool view from the top showing the flowers and ruffles.

Here are the flowers and details on the top tier.

And the same on the bottom tier.

Another close up of the roses.

Ruffles around the bottom of the cakes and the little white flowers on both top and bottom tiers.

Simply beautiful! This cake would be pretty with any color of roses.
